Breaking News!

Robin is done. Go me! Of course, I finished it last night, and I still haven't taken pictures yet, so you'll have to wait.

Halfway point!

Halfway point!, originally uploaded by Frarochvia.

Just so you know, a red scarf that's got nothing but amazing tactile detail oh and it's cotton, so it just sucks in light? Hard hard hard hard to take good pictures of.

That's 9,240 stitches there and I'm not letting you forget that, either. It's Debbie Bliss cotton DK yarn and it's really knitting up nicely. I'm nearly done with the sixth repeat, so it's bigger than this picture right now, but a precise halfway point picture is way more fun, so there we go.

Isabel Done

I'm really not sure whether to hope that Isabel will grow if I block her (she's a wee bit tight, despite the fact I was perfect on gauge) and okay, seam her. Opinions? I could always frog her and turn her into a bucket hat. I really grooved this yarn and love its stripedyness, so leaving her to languish is not an option.

Peppermint Patty and the Pink Hair

The pink hair is secondary. Since this is a knitting blog and all. Peppermint Patty, aka the pink fluffy fuzzy scarf, is the real star here. I started her on Friday afternoon and she was done Friday night! She was fun fun fun to make, just simple to do. 10 stitches cast on, then knit until used up. Wear!

Neekita? Is the awesome!

I loooooooooooooooooove Neekita's combinations of color and texture and yarnly goodness and this combination? I fell in love with it and just couldn't stand it anymore and asked if she could put together a kit for me, maybe?

Then she told me she would be sending me THIS.

I'm soooooo excited. SQUEE!

Kahlo and the Yarn

Not a great picture, but I needed the gratuitous catchen content here. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

No Knitting

No knitting this weekend. I know! Can you believe it?

And that goes for both Verde and I.

Verde, you see, finished her internship and took Super Secret Project with her and a pair of bamboo 4mm needles with her. She lost one of them, g-d knows where. And the knit shop? Didn't have any wood or bamboo 4mms. Terrible choice between frogging and starting over on a different size, or waiting to come back where I'll give her my 4mms, assuming I haven't lost mine either to the evil 4mm monster.

Me? No knitting. I brought two projects with me this weekend, sPaws, a black Lion Brand soft suede, and Robin, a red scarf-to-be made of some Debbie Bliss stuff I would tell you about except I ripped off the label and left it at home. Bad me! Anyway, no knitting because I was so sick I could barely remember where the bathroom was and how to operate a remote control, never mind knitting.

Book Club

It was an all-deaf book club, yeah. I am the faciliator of my club too, or was, so um, faciliator, knitter, it was hilarious. It was for the Gollyurdeaf Turn A Page Together thing, there were a bunch of books, mine was the Heather Whitestone book, Listening To My Heart which is a don't bother if I ever met one. Sorry, but yeah. Don't bother.

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.
